This is a robot which we as a team have been working on for a while. We are coding it in a number of ways, to achieve various goals.
The first advantage of this model is the many thing it can be made to do via programming. It is also a very versatile design, and many addons can be put into practice with this robot, such as firing machines, and pincers/nippers.
The second advantage of the robot is the amount that can be done with sensors. For example, if the robot sees the colour red, it can move, or shoot a ball, or even play a song.
All of these factors, allow the robot to have almost endless limitations, and help us to develop more advanced coding skills!
The first idea we executed was a pincer that grabbes items, and releases them, when the hand is scanned in front of the camera to notify it, nd moves on. This can be repeated more than once in the same sequence and lines of code. We were picking up a rectangular shape.
The second idea we have Was that when the robot sees the colour red in the colour scanner/sensor, it moves forward. The only disadvantage of this is the robot can only detect the colour from a certain distance away.
This is just one of may projected were are building and coding, due to the versatility and excellence of the robots we have.
