The Stanley team's latest project is a Line Follower which, at the time of writing, can follow a full track with turns with relative ease. It follows the black line by turning right when the colour sensor senses black , but then when it senses white it turns left to get back on track. Eventually, this allows the Line Follower to inch it's way through the track.
This is the line follower, the caterpillar tracks are there to help it make turns on the spot. It was originally designed to be a fast car so we also added gears onto it. Now we have a line follower, but it is also faster than most Ev3 cars around.
The Stanley Line Follower travels round this track in 17.38 seconds! You can see it moving from right to left and inching its way up the track.
