The Marble Run

This model is perfect for the VandenMoesel team. Firstly, it can easily be customised to our personal liking. For example, we could extend the ramp, build our own courses, and force the marbles to take different routes. It also has the potential to work well with other robots. Furthermore, it also requires coding, which is good for our development with these robots.

What does the Marble Run do?

Although a marble run would be interesting and fun to play with, it would not require an intelligent brick, or any coding, which is of course what we are here to learn.

After the building (which is difficult and requires adjustment, we will use marbles. The machine will transport the marbles through the run, and they will be carried to the top, using two functions; an arm, powered by a motor, and an adjustable basket to collect the marbles, also powered by a motor.

We think that this project (if completed) will be very impressive, and test our initiative and coding skills.

Add - Ons

I we have enough time (and pieces, I have a plan to add on a robotic arm, if there are any spare ports to use it with. THis could pick up marbles from a trough and put them into the machine.

I also would like if we could use the mixer motor to make the marbles take different routes. We will also work on making more unique twists on the marble run.
